You Do Not Fly

A shocking SMS came less than 24 hours to my start at Czech relay championship. An event I was looking forward to as it is the last orienteering event of the years. And of course, our SK Zabovresky club is aiming to win some medals.

I trained a lot whole summer but couldn't show it at Czech qualifications for world cup races as it was on the same day as my graduation exam. I put a lot of effort to be in a good shape for the Czech relay and team champ. I was very happy not to be sick neither injured as in previous years. I was so sure I am not gonna miss this great happening...

...until I read an info SMS from Norwegian that my plane from Rovaniemi to Helsinki will be almost five hours delayed due to technical reasons. I had only two hours in Helsinki before my next flight with the same company went to Czech!

I went to the airport and asked what can I do. All flights from Rovaniemi were fully booked for that day. It was obvious they can not get me to Czech earlier than on Sunday. On Sunday, when races are over...
